To comply with the upcoming RDE norms Hyundai has updated the Venue sub-compact SUV. The Venue now gets a more powerful diesel engine that's RDE and E20 compliant. The Venue continues to be offered 6 trims – E, S, S+, S(O), SX, SX(O) and the price for the SUV starts from Rs 7.68 lakh and goes up to 12.92 lakh (ex-showroom). The prices have gone up to 25,000 for the petrol and 51,000 for the diesel variant.
Petrol variants of the new Venue continue to be powered by the same 1.2-litre NA and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engines.
However, the diesel variant of the Venue now gets a 115 bhp, 250 Nm, 1.5-litre VGT (variable geometry turbocharger) turbocharged diesel engine that powers up the Hyundai Creta, Alcazar, Kia Seltos and Carens MPV.
The venue previously used to get a 1.5-litre FGT (fixed geometry turbo) engine that used to produce 115 bhp of power and 240 Nm of torque. The Venue now also get an integrated starter generator (ISG) with a start-stop function.

As mentioned previously, Venue continues to be offered with 6 variants – E, S, S+, S(O), SX, SX(O). The SX diesel variant no longer gets diamond-cut alloy wheels. It stays limited to top-of-the-line SX (O). The petrol variant of the Venue now gets side airbags from the S(O) variant and the curtain airbags are offered only on top-spec Venue SX(O) petrol. The diesel variant of the Venue now gets curtain and side airbags from the SX trim onwards. Previously, both side and curtain airbags were limited to just the top-spec Venue SX(O).
Hyundai Venue continues to compete with Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
